Introduction: Guillain Barré syndrome, an acute inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, often results in severe impairment of many bodily structures and functions, with consequent activity limitations. This study aim to observe the epidemiological profile of hospitalized patients diagnosed with the syndrome in public hospitals in the Federal District, in order to cooperate for better clinical decision-making and with public policies in favor of the best conduct for these patients. Methods: Data were collected from the public platform "Situation Room" in a survey conducted on 02/20/2020 with ICD G61.1 (Guillain-Barré syndrome) in the hospital care / AIH tab from 2009 to 2019. Results: 377 hospitalization cases were found; the three years with the highest frequency, descending, were 2018, 2009 and 2016, respectively; the highest frequencies accumulated were in March and August; the peak age group was found between 30-44 years; and the male population had a higher frequency of hospitalizations for the syndrome. Conclusions: According to the study, we can trace, through secondary data, an epidemiological profile of hospitalization for patients hospitalized with Guillain-Barré syndrome, consistent with the consolidated literature.
