Method: Exploratory and descriptive research with a quantitative approach to be carried out through the application of a questionnaire to the nursing staff of a surgical center of the Health Department of the Federal District. Results and discussion: The analyzed answers demonstrate a degree of difficulty and lack of knowledge about the use of PPE by the team. Conclusion: There is a lack of PPE, protocols on the use and educational activities that guide servers on the correct use of available equipment.
