Analysis of risk factors for the development of Burnout Syndrome in the nursing team of a surgical center

Introduction: Professional exhaustion comes from work situations that reflect negatively in several areas in the daily life of an individual, this disorder serves as data collection for the diagnosis of Burnout Syndrome through analysis of signs and symptoms. Method: This is descriptive research, with a quantitative approach, with a sample consisting of 24 (twenty-four) nursing professionals (nurses and technicians) and as a result, four main related factors were identified. Discussion: empathy was cited as the main factor for perception in the work environment, suggesting a risk factor due to high pressure directly affecting their well-being. Conclusion: There is a need for a greater approach to the topic in academic discussions and continuing education in the unit, seeking motivation and improvement in the work quality of these professionals.
