Abstract

Objective: to draw demographic, epidemiological, clinical and functional profiles among adults and elderly people hospitalized with Covid-19 Brasília-DF. Methods: A retrospective longitudinal study of a descriptive nature, 11,031 medical records were evaluated and classified to compose the analyses, 93 of them. Gender, age, underlying comorbidities, smoking history, signs and symptoms present, how many days since the onset of symptoms, days of hospitalization in the ward, analysis of blood count, biochemical tests, level of pulmonary impairment and motor function were analyzed using the scale. ICUMobilityScale(IMS). Results: The elderly were more affected as well as males, patients sought medical help on average on the seventh day and remained hospitalized for an average of 14 days. The comorbidities reported were SAH, DM, obesity and COPD and the signs and symptoms reported were mostly dyspnea, cough, fever and myalgia. Between adults and elderly, hematocrit, urea and the urea/creatinine ratio showed to be better in adults, with no significant difference between the groups in terms of functionality. Conclusion: It is worth mentioning that the high level of urea and the urea/creatinine ratio suggest prolonged hospital stays, which could influence the evolution of severe cases.
