Abstract

Introduction: Prophylactic conduct in relation to human anti-rabies treatment is an activity that must be performed as completely and correctly as possible and it is the role of the Hospital Epidemiology Center to ensure that the information reported in the notification is correct and in accordance with current technical documentation. available for guidance of health professionals in relation to the conduct and notification of cases of animal attack. In the Residency program in Public Policy Management for Health at the Escola Superior de Ciências da Saúde (ESCS) the “arch of maguerez” methodology is used as a strategy to identify a problem in the practical scenario of action in order to propose a viable solution. . At the Epidemiology Hospital Center of the Taguatinga Regional Hospital, the need for a strategy was identified to help professionals in the process of determining the correct prophylactic conduct for each case of animal attack. In this perspective, an educational video was prepared based on the technical guidelines present in the Health Surveillance Guide and in the Consolidation Ordinance No. 5 of 2017. Objective: Apply the Maguerez Arch methodology in order to identify a problem in the practical scenario of action; Propose a viable solution to the identified problem. Method: The method used was the Arch of Maguerez, which consisted of the following steps: observing the scenario to identify problems; establish the key points; to elaborate the theorization; create a solution hypothesis; and apply the reality of the scenario. Results: In the reality observation phase, the need to improve the prophylactic behavior of professionals who provide anti-rabies care was identified. In the phase of defining the key points, didactic access to technical support materials was considered. In the theorizing phase, it was argued about the importance of surveillance of cases of compulsory notification, especially cases of anti-rabies care. In the solution hypothesis phase, an educational video was proposed, based on the information present in the technical documents available for health professionals and the general population. And finally, in the application phase to reality, the “powtoon” website was used to prepare the video that was approved by the Board of the Taguatinga Regional Hospital and was broadcast in the media (WhatsApp groups, Process in the SEI system and e-mail). e-mail of team leaders) of health professionals involved with human anti-rabies care. Conclusion: Considering that the intervention target is human anti-rabies prophylactic treatment, a health education process is necessary that uses resources that facilitate professional improvement, such as the use of didactic videos on health topics, especially diseases and conditions. of compulsory notification.
