Abstract

Introduction: Territorialization is a tool that seeks to help Primary Health Care understand the territory, in this way, I better understand the health-disease processes of the population, allowing the identification of critical nodes, diagnosis and intervention actions for the problems found. The present work is an intervention project carried out in the 1st year of residency of the GPPS/ESCS program in the year 2021. Objective: To use geoprocessing and georeferencing technologies to meet the needs of the Southwest health region in the collection of health information that would support the construction of a territorialization project consistent with the needs of the region. Method: The arch of maguerez was used from the observed reality, identifying the problems with the theme addressed, their causes and their probable solutions. Results: Cartographies of the areas covered by the FHS in the region were elaborated, population survey by team through calculation of population projection, maps of demographic density by AR as well as maps of the Health Vulnerability Index by AR, new division of areas of coverage for the Emas Nook. Conclusion: With the delivery of the materials produced, the local DIRAPS started to have health information based on official data at hand for its decision making. The course of the work process highlighted the need for health professionals to approach the tools of geoprocessing and georeferencing so that the planning of their territory meets the needs of their population.
