A Importância do Nutricionista na Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) frente ao Cenário Epidemiológico Atual

Introduction: The creation of the UBS was important to meet the health needs of the population. The nutritionist is a professional who works in this place with the aim of promoting, protecting and rehabilitating health, having as one of its focuses the reduction of the prevalence of individuals with Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), which kill about 41 million people each year. . Objective: To investigate the performance of the nutritionist in the areas covered by the UBS. Methods: This is an integrative review carried out in June 2022, using the descriptors: nutritionists and Health Centers. Articles in Portuguese were included, between the years 2019 and 2022, and those that did not present the central theme of the study were excluded. Results: 157 articles were found, of which 4 were selected to compose this study. Data indicate that nutritionists work at the UBS, but they are more present in less vulnerable places, which can compromise the quality of life of the non-resident population in these places, who are susceptible to the emergence of CNCDs and need in addition to a dietary intake. appropriate, a look at economic and sociocultural factors. Conclusion: It is concluded that the role of the nutritionist in the UBS is extremely important, in order to guarantee greater attention to the prevention and treatment of diseases through an adequate dietary intake.
