From the perspective of the Methodology of Problematization, Arch of Maguerez proposes to dialogue with the complexity of social phenomena and their crossings, through the observation of reality, the identification of bottlenecks and the elaboration of proposals and interventions consistent with the reality of the territory. This study aimed to report the experience of applying the Arch of Maguerez in the construction of a mental health matrix support proposal during team meetings at a Basic Health Unit in the Federal District. The implementation was developed in five steps: (1) observation of reality, (2) key points, (3) theorization, (4) hypotheses of solution and (5) application of reality. The results highlighted the importance of sharing mental health care strategies and strengthening collective spaces for discussing cases and continuing health education. It is believed that the Methodology of Problematization, with the Arch of Maguerez as a guide, can be a powerful and necessary instrument to strengthen the expanded concept of health and provoke transformations in the care processes in the SUS.
