Purpose: To determine if a bundle would result in a lower rate of surgical site infections (SSIs) compared to standard practice. Method: The search was performed at LILACS, PubMed, Cochrane Library and Scopus. The classification of recommendation was evaluated, evaluated, developed and evaluated (GRADE). Results: Of the 261 journals found, ten were analyzed. A prevalence of 5 items of intervention was observed, with the most frequent interventions being antibiotic prophylaxis (50%) and preoperative bath (50%). Conclusion: Based on the available evidence, the use of the packet method in preventing site infection can be driven to the number of infections, although a quality of progress for progress is low. The literature on the subject does not show strong, with very few randomized and blinded studies.
