Introduction: Pressure injury is defined as a deeply injured skin region, usually occurs over a bony prominence and can be triggered by extrinsic factors such as staying in the same position for a very long period and/or by intrinsic factors such as malnutrition, circulatory failure, peripheral vasoconstriction, changes in body mass index and presence of chronic diseases. Treatment with photobiomodulation can promote tissue healing, modulation of the inflammatory process and neovascularization. Objective: This case report aims to observe the tissue healing response and analgesic effects of the use of photobiomodulation. Methodology: The Sportllux Advanced PRO brand LED blanket was used for 10 minutes on alternate days during hospitalization, together with the nursing team performing the dressings. Conclusion: Photobiomodulation therapy in conjunction with standard wound care is effective, considering individual clinical characteristics.
