Health at School Program and action on grief in times of COVID-19

Objective: To report the experience of the action of the Health at School Program on grief in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, addressing aspects related to the care and promotion of mental health in the school community, with a focus on adolescent students, highlighting the role of Primary Care to Health in the planning and execution of the action requested by a High School Center located in Brasília-DF. Method: Descriptive study with a qualitative approach, of the experience report type, referring to the action carried out remotely during the months of October and November 2021, through a conversation circle with school teachers. Results: Challenges were identified in carrying out and continuing the action, in addition to the low participation of teachers, impacting effectiveness and limiting the scope. Conclusion: It was found the importance of strengthening joint health education strategies to face grief and ensure comprehensive care for this population.
