Abstract

Introduction: Violence is recognized as a serious public health problem. Minayo and Souza (1998) define it as an action of intentionality carried out by an individual or group that causes physical, social or psychological harm to others. Compulsory notification is an important tool to combat violence and matrix support for these situations is essential, as most professionals feel unprepared for handling it and the user. Objective: To trace the epidemiological profile of interpersonal/self-inflicted violence in the Western Health Region, comparing the compulsory notifications of the historical series from 2015 to 2021, to characterize the population victim of violence and to point out the importance of qualifying the SINAN notification forms, as well as your matrix. Methodology: This is a descriptive study of the epidemiological profile of cases of interpersonal/self-inflicted violence in the Western Health Region (SRSOE), from 2015 to 2019. The sources used to obtain the data were the notifications of registered cases of violence in the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN), updated until 11/08/2021. The Maquerez Arch Method was the tool used for this study, in which it is important for the application of the Problematization Method. Results: Five steps were established: 1) Observation of Reality: Few compulsory notifications to people in situations of violence registered by APS in SINAN; 2) Key Points: Do you know how to make the notification? Do you know SINAN? Existence of fears and/or apprehensions? Do you understand to what extent the server can be involved? Do you know the importance of notification? Do you have access to epidemiological data on violence? 3) Theorization: Construction of the epidemiological bulletin for matrix support; 4) Hypothesis of Solution: Increase the number of notifications in the PHC; 5) Application to Reality: Execution of one or more of the solution hypotheses, as a return of the study to the investigated reality. In the diagnostic analysis carried out in the Epidemiological Bulletin, variables of violence were presented in a document created separately, in PDF format, with descriptions of the researched data and their discussion. The material is available for the entire West health region. The matrix support process has not yet been carried out due to the unavailability of NUPAV and UBS Managers' agendas. Conclusion: This work served as a provocation regarding the reports of violence, in addition to raising discussions about why Primary Care is so little involved in this process, given that they are the organizers of care and the gateway to health services.
